Mark Henderson
General PartnerMark has been an Internet entrepreneur and innovator for over 20 years, beginning his career in London in the nineties, where he led the engineering team that developed the first web presence for both Marks & Spencer and Thomas Cook. Mark also launched the world’s second web-based email service in mid nineties. He went on to consult internationally to startups and global blue chip companies and start technology companies in Cape Town, London and San Francisco. With firsthand experience of Silicon Valley’s boom and bust cycles, Mark is keenly aware of both the lessons and opportunities they bring.

Bruce Falck
San FranciscoBruce is CEO of Turn, the largest independent company in the advertising technology sector, with offices across five continents. Prior to Turn, Bruce held senior roles at Google and BrightRoll. Bruce has also led product development for an IdeaLab solar energy startup and founded Phoenix Pop, one of San Francisco’s pioneering web application development companies. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Computer Science from Stellenbosch University in South Africa.

Joshin Raghubar
Cape TownJoshin is Chairman of the Bandwidth Barn, which is Africa’s largest incubator and accelerator for technology businesses. Joshin is also the co-founder of iKineo, a leading pan-African customer engagement firm, Sprout, one of Africa’s leading online performance firms, and Sideways, a digital discovery application for the winelands. He also currently serves as a non-executive director of the Cape Information Technology Initiative (CITi), the public/ private sector agency tasked with development of the region as a Technology cluster; and as non-executive director of the African Leadership Network. He is a Fellow of the Africa Leadership Initiative and the Aspen Global Leaders Network.

Mark Bartels
San FranciscoMark consults to leading Silicon Valley companies on strategy and finance. Mark has held both CEO and CFO roles at StumbleUpon Inc, a highly regarded and pioneering Consumer Web company, and was previously a member of the San Francisco M&A team at Deloitte USA. Mark has experience in Consumer Web and Tech M&A and is an investor in Consumer Web and Ad Tech companies in San Francisco and Boston. Mark holds a Bachelor of Commerce Degree and PGDA from the University of Cape Town and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.

Simon Southwood
LondonSimon is an experienced financier having worked as M&A adviser, asset manager as well as directing public companies. He has international experience, including the arrangement of debt and equity for such diverse sectors as fine art, outcomes-based government contracting, litigation, mining, accounting services and property. He is currently the CFO of Scholium Group plc, a UK public company which trades alongside fine art dealers. Simon holds a degree in pure Mathematics and Philosophy from the University of Cape Town.

Vinny LinghamPalo AltoVinny is a serial entrepreneur, a Bitcoin Foundation board member and currently founder and CEO of Civic, an identity protection service. He previously founded the digital gift card platform, Gyft, which was acquired by First Data Corporation in 2014. Vinny maintains close ties to his homeland where he stars in “Dragon’s Den” (South Africa’s version of “Shark Tank”) and is also the co-founder of the local technology hub, the Silicon Cape Initiative.
